SEAMUS concerts will be performed in the Cube and Fife Theatre of the Moss Arts Center, and Theatre 101. The Cube is a 58′ x 50′ x 32′ multimedia black-box theater, with an 124.4-speaker multichannel environment, suspended from four levels, and a floor-standing 10 channel array of JBL LSR6328p speakers. Architectural details and speaker locations for the Cube may be found here. The multimedia infrastructure of the Cube is ideal for fixed media pieces that incorporate spatialized audio. The Fife Theatre is a large performance hall, with a 60′ x 50′ stage, state-of-the-art acoustic design, and cutting-edge audio, video, and lighting systems. The carefully designed acoustics of the Fife Theatre are perfect for pieces with live electroacoustic performance. The late night concerts will be performed in Theatre 101, a flexible intimate black-box theatre. The ICAT Perform studio, a 12-speaker surround system, and the Digital Interactive Sound & Intermedia Studio, with an 8-speaker surround system will serve as listening rooms. Papers and posters will be presented in the Multipurpose Room of the Newman Library. The hallways, reception spaces, and stairwell of the Moss Arts Center, the entryway of Theatre 101, and the XYZ Gallery in downtown Blacksburg will serve as installation art spaces.
